There is no better or closer view of regatta racing than from a umpire seat. Umpiring is a great way to get involved in our awesome sport, even if you have no rowing experience. You get the benefit of the outdoors, on water, working with motivated, fun people and contributing to a safe and fun rowing experience for our crews. Umpiring is also a great way for a high school student to get volunteer hours or to add a certification and work experience to your resume.

A level 1 clinic will be held on May 13 in Ottawa at Ashbury College. It’s one short evening of training. Click here to find out more and to sign up. Financial assistance toward the registration fee is available from the ORC when requested.
