The ORC dominates the ERA regatta in Montreal

The Ottawa Rowing Club was well represented this past weekend on the Olympic Basin in Montreal by our senior competitive team.  More than 60 competitive ORC rowers raced at the ERA Regatta over two days and came home victorious winning the most points overall and bringing the Comstock Trophy back to Ottawa.

ORC had first place finishes in the Sr Lwt W2x (Forgerty/Currie); Sr Lwt M4x (Fournier, Bruce-Fusco, Park, Benard); Sr W4- (Haley, Prufer, Steveson, Broadhurst); Sr M2- (Connell, Bernst); Sr Lwt 1x (Fournier); Sr W4x (Fogarty, Howell, Pastic, Page); Sr Lwt M4- (Bernst, Connell, Clarke, Hamilton); Sr Lwt W1x (Currie) and the Sr women’s and men’s 8+.

Congratulations to all the crews who raced!  Big thanks to our volunteer coaches and trailer drivers who accompanied the team to Montreal and made sure a packed boat trailer made it there and back safety.

Next stop for our competitive crews is RowOntario Masters Championships July 10 and the RowOntario Championships July 22 to 24, both in Welland.
