For experienced rowers who want to get out and row, but are not able to commit to a full membership.

The ORC Rowing Pass Pilot is a flexible option for experienced rowers who want to get out and row but aren’t able to commit to a full membership.  Experienced rowers are rowers who have rowed at the ORC (Learn to Row, Adult Rowing League, Recreational, Masters, and Competitive) or at other clubs in similar programs.

Rowers are to row during scheduled Recreational or Masters times only: Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6pm, Saturday mornings at 9am (Masters), Sunday mornings at 8am (Recreational)

All rowers are required to complete ORC safety training before their first row.  Dates and times for upcoming safety training:

Monday, August 13 at 5pm

Monday, August 20 at 5pm

Monday, August 27 at 5pm

Wednesday, September 5 at 5pm

Monday, September 10 at 5pm

Fee Cost: $200 for 10 rows + annual RCA/RO fee (45$) 

Please note that for the pilot project, the punch card is non-transferable, non-refundable and expires when the ORC closes (i.e. docks get pulled up) for the 2018 season. The standard refund policy will NOT be applied for this program.

Registration for this pilot program is open on our online registration site, Ronin.  Click here to be redirected to the online registration page.  Complete step 1 to register with Rowing Canada and pay the $45 RCA association fee.  Then complete step 2 to register with the ORC for the drop in pass.  Once in the Ronin registration system, click on ‘register for recreational or masters rowing’ and select the drop in pass from the list of program options. Then continue with registration and payment.

Once you have completed the online registration, please contact Jennifer Shortall, arl@ottawarowingclub.com to pick up your card and complete your entry survey. A survey will be sent to you at the end of the season so we can evaluate the effectiveness of this pilot project. Thank you for your cooperation in advance!
