Gliding on the Ottawa River, passing beneath the Parliament Buildings, in front of the Museum of Civilization, past the Rideau Canal and the Rideau Falls, meeting the Gatineau River and going around Kettle Island are all parts of the recreational rowing experience at the Ottawa Rowing Club.

Annual or seasonal recreational memberships are offered.

Competition

Recreational rowers are eligible to race at some regattas. Recreational program fees include HST. Program fees do not include Rowing Canada and RowOntario association fee of $45, which must be paid separately when registering.  Program fees do not include expenses related to regatta competition.  Such expenses can include regatta entry fees, transportation, accommodation, trailering fees and transaction fees. Rowers must also purchase and compete in an ORC uniform.

Previous experience required:

Learn to Row, Adult Rowing League or past experience at the ORC or other club.

Ages: 18+ years

Practices are held on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:00pm and on Sundays at 8:00am. Rowers should be ready at least 10 minutes before practice times.
