Thank you to all of the volunteers that have helped with our flood clean up efforts this week. Clean up will continue into this Saturday, June 8. We will also be installing our docks on June 8. Volunteers are asked to arrive by 8:30am. Work will continue until about 1pm, but it could be done earlier or go longer depending on how many hands are on deck that day.

Here are general job assignment for June 8th. These may change on the day, but there will be a check list of jobs in the main office if you’re looking for a job to do.

Junior Men and Masters Men – install docks

Masters Women and Junior Women – clean up the second level of the big boathouse, put coach boats together and check safety supplies in coach boats, clean and organize ergs and weight area

Senior Men and Senior Women – rig boats, put boat racks up and move boats to proper racks

Recreational – organize and put together outdoor work bay (including work tent), clean shoreline and pick up debris, sweep paths and parking lot

Dress for the weather, wear proper boots/footwear, bring work gloves, hat and water bottle. There is running water at the club.

A very big THANK YOU to everyone, in advance, for contributing some time and effort on Saturday.  It’s much appreciated. We’re looking so forward to being back in our second home after a hard spring.

Although docks will be installed on Saturday, programs will be transitioned to the water gradually to ensure safety.  Further updates will be provided via program coaches about on-water practices. A reminder that rowers are not allowed on the water until properly registered and have completed the mandatory safety training. There will be a safety training session offered on Sunday, June 9 at 9am on the second level of the big boathouse. Training lasts about 1 hour.
