Earlier this month RCA announced the crews and coaches selected to represent Canada at the World Rowing Championships and international competition. A complete list is available here.

This week ORC members and alumni Alex Bernst and Louise Munro will be racing in Poznan, Poland at the Under 23 World Championships!  Alex will race the lightweight men’s double and Louise will race the women’s quad.

With the maple leafs on their blades, Alex will race this Wednesday and Louise on Thursday. They shared this amazing message along with the photo of them with their Canada blades: ‘Wanted to share this shot and try to thank you guys and everyone at the ORC for developing us as people and athletes. We’re proud to represent the club here in Poznan!’  Now that’s a great message to receive!!  We’re here cheering you on, Louise and Alex, and all of Canada’s crews this summer!

Also named to international crews are ORC member, Alanna Fogerty and ORC alumni, Myma Okuda-Rayfuse (FISU lightweight women’s double), and ORC and Carleton U alumni, Mikayla Arends (FISU women’s eight) and Carleton U alumni, Hunter Amesbury (FISU men’s four).
